Amelies Restaurant in Coppull Moor, Chorley, is a new venture for the Ferrari family of Ferrari’s Country House Hotel & Restaurant at Thornley. Daughter Anna Maria has set up this restaurant with her husband and chef-patron Olivier. The chef’s French influence figures strongly on the Continental menu offering classic cuisine with a great emphasis on presentation and quality. Signature dishes include scallops, traditional fish soup and Lamb Bowland and all Amelies desserts are home made. Amelies opened in March 2008 and has lots of little rooms giving it an intimate and homely feel which makes it a good bet for private dining. Front-of-house is run by Anna Maria who has a wealth of experience both in the family business and abroad in Italy. The restaurant is named after her and Olivier’s daughter. The staff are highly attentive and friendly, without being over familiar. The food?
